Geowidget overview

What is a Geowidget?

The Geowidget is an embeddable map for selecting InPost Group pickup points (parcel lockers / POP / cooled parcel lockers). It is delivered as a custom element <inpost-geowidget> plus a CSS file, and can be embedded in any web page.

Key functionalities of Geowidget

  • Displaying a map with points of different types (e.g. parcel lockers, parcel points)
  • Filtering map results to your needs (e.g. operating lockers in Italy only)
  • Providing information about presented points (e.g. address, opening hours)
  • Enabling integration with external systems (e.g. checkout form to select a delivery point)

This is widget type software. This means that all the code and processing takes place on InPost servers. External clients only attach a link to its code and specify the configuration that will be used in their systems.

Global Geowidget described here is a global solution. It includes all InPost Group markets out of home delivery points, and should be implemented with Global APIs only, not deprecated, domestic APIs for parcel creation.
