Status Mapping: ShipX PL → Global Tracking

As part of the transition described in the Migration Guide, tracking parcels was consolidated into InPost Global API, enabling single integration for all InPost markets. If your integration currently reads shipment status from the ShipX PL API or webhook, this page will help you find Global Tracking equivalent code.

How to read above table?

Each row maps one ShipX PL status to its corresponding Global Tracking event code. Some statuses are more granular in the newest approach, hence ShipX PL status may map to multiple new events.

Global Tracking event codes follow a PREFIX.CODE format, where the prefix identifies the stage of the parcel's journey:

Prefix	Stage	Meaning
`CRE`	Creation	The parcel has been created in the system.
`FMD`	First-Mile Delivery	The parcel is starting its journey and being handed to a courier.
`MMD`	Mid-Mile Delivery	The parcel has been received at a logistics centre.
`LMD`	Last-Mile Delivery	The parcel is on its way to, or waiting at, its final destination.
`EOL`	End of Life	The parcel's journey has concluded (delivered or cancelled).
`RTS`	Return to Sender	The parcel is being returned to the sender.
`HAN`	Handover	The parcel is being handed over to another party (e.g. a carrier hub).

Additional notes

Redirected parcels: In ShipX PL, a redirected parcel's history is shown as two separate journeys. In Global Tracking, the same parcel's history is consolidated into a single, continuous journey — including the point where the redirect occurred and its new destination.
Location-dependent mappings: A few ShipX PL statuses (for example redirect_to_box) map to different Global Tracking codes depending on the location type of the destination point (Locker, Pickup Point, or other). Always check the Condition column before hard-coding a 1:1 mapping.
Redundant ShipX PL statuses: Some ShipX PL statuses that appear semantically distinct (e.g. taken_by_courier, taken_by_courier_from_pok, collected_from_sender) map to the same Global Tracking code (FMD.1002) because they represent the same stage of the parcel journey from the customer's perspective.

The following ShipX PL statuses have no corresponding GT event. If your integration currently reacts to any of these, it will not receive an equivalent event after migrating — you'll need to adapt that logic or remove its dependency on these signals.
